“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”
Jesus – Matthew 16:24-26
Atheist
A person who does not believe in the existence of God or any gods. They are deeply committed to this belief.

Who is the one true God?
Exodus 20:1-3
And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me.“
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. “
Isaiah 44:6-7
“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. Who is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and set it before me, since I appointed an ancient people. Let them declare what is to come, and what will happen.“
Amos 4:12-13
“Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God. O Israel.” He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn into darkness, and treads the high places of the earth – the Lord God Almighty is his name.
Note: God does not mess around. He was passing this on to Amos to tell the Northern kingdom and God’s people everywhere. We want to avoid God’s wrath at all cost!
